WEL at the Manor is undergoing a major transformation, a repositioning within the market to maintain viability for years to come. On the exterior, a new façade treatment and a dramatic new entrance portico and fountain will serve as a beacon for the community. The concept for the community is to make a park like setting around the entirety of the site including the hidden central courtyard which is the heart of the community.

This retirement community which was “state of the art” in the 1950s will be completely renovated to provide residents with much needed and desired amenities, such as library, bank, and outdoor walking trails.  The new plan will include a lobby lounge adjacent to the new dining room and  Bistro with outdoor seating. Smaller apartments will be combined to create much larger apartments with full amenities. The Health Center will be reorganized to accommodate a household model in which residents are organized around smaller residential style household centers.
