The addition was the first Alzheimer's unit built in Sussex County, DE. This wing includes 17 private rooms for Alzheimer's care and makes existing space in the Health Center available for private rooms. Residential ambiance is apparent throughout the design, from the clustering of rooms around a living area at one end and an activities area at the other, allowing natural light to flood the space from skylights above.
