St. Joseph's University
McShain Hall
Lower Merion, Pennsylvania
As Gothic design consultants to John Sabatino, AIA, our firm's responsibilities included the production and coordination of contract documents, as well as the design and detailing of the building envelope, including all the cut stone work for this 96,900 sq. ft. building and bridge. McShain Hall features dormitory space for 288 students, classrooms, and an executive learning and conference center. The pedestrian bridge, spanning City Line Avenue, connects the dormitory located on the Lower Merion side of the campus, with the academic and other dormitory spaces on the Philadelphia side of the highway.
